French Toast Cravings

You know how hard it is to resist a food craving? You know, the more you try to ignore your craving, the more you crave whatever it is you’re craving??!?!?!?!

Well, NEVER do we eat French Toast. It is so not something that either of us starts the day saying:  “Boy, I really want some French Toast!”

Yet, here’s me…in the grocery store – and all I can think is “Boy, I really want some French Toast!” – How crazy is that?

So, for your craving viewing pleasure, here is our French Toast creation, made with Martin’s Cinnamon Raisin Swirl potato bread (which is being carried by Publix and is a brand new product) and fresh Plant City, FL strawberries from Costco. (Oh, yes, and some scrambled eggs with mushrooms and spinach).

We are so feeling that strawberry love right now, as the harvest comes in from Plant City….knowing that very soon, there will be no more Plant City strawberries until NEXT year…so eat up! If you are really adventurous, you should go check out the Strawberry Festival, going on from Feb 28th – March 10th.

(Hmmm…….Maybe my true craving was actually for the strawberries, and they just needed a “nest” to land in!)

  1. Come on now, your true craving was for strawberries WITH French toast. I went through the French toast phase where I ate it almost daily for breakfast – not as fancy as yours though. Now that looks like an awesome breakfast that would make my day for sure.
    Happy Valentine’s Day my friend!
