For the best “fast food” lunch in Pisa, Italy, just make your way to this special place on via San Martino – Galileo Ristorante – for the daily fixed price 10 Euro lunch special.
Here’s how it works:
Lunch includes water, 2 courses, dessert and coffee. That’s our kind of “fast food”!
Hungry for a taste of Italy for lunch, we took our seats and placed our order.
Hubby had Pasta al Pomodoro and Beef with potatoes.
I had the Pasta al Pomodoro and, for the main course, the Calamari with a Salad.
Did we order wine, you ask? Well, of course, we had some wine…after all, we ARE in Italy, right?!?!
Dessert – ah! – how can you even resist? We can’t, so here’s to torta de mela and crostada di prugna.
After finishing off dessert, we paid our compliments to the Chef, Enzo, and his son, Marco.
We enjoyed a lovely “after lunch” drink, said our “Ciaos” and went away with full bellies, good memories, and an invitation to come back and join the Chef in the kitchen to see his next creations. Can’t wait to come back for more!
If you find yourself hungry for some “fast food” for lunch, this is definitely the choice to make.
Yum, yum, yum!!

Love it & I think Niki went to that place when she was there. It’s funny but does it seem to you that Italians are very gracious about having their photos taken? I think I’v got a ton of them w/smiling vendors, store owners, dog owners…they just seem to take it in stride. But to get an invite back to the kitchen, now that’s special.

It is such a small world! We eat there each time we are in Pisa, and they are the nicest folks. Can’t wait to get in that kitchen! LOL!
