Healthy Home Cooking – At Someone Else’s Home!

One of the pleasures of cooking is sharing food with others. I’ve been doing just that for my friends, who allow me to come over to their home every other week and prepare meals for them to enjoy at home – as a family, around the table, and just relax at the end of their hectic day.

Here’s the results of the latest cooking session:

Vegetarian Bolognese with Whole Wheat Penne Pasta from My – this one makes a BIG batch, so freeze some for later.

D - Veggie Bolognese

Fall Vegetable Curry  from Cooking Light. Looks like lunch for the next few days…

D - Curry Stew 1

D - Curry Stew 2

D - Curry Stew Finished product

Spicy Szechuan Chicken Stir Fry from my buddy, Laurie, over at Simply Scratch blog. Since this one is their dinner that night, I cooked the chicken first and transferred it to a large bowl. Next, I cooked the veggies and stored them in the ‘fridge separate from each other. That way, it’s a simple matter of gently reheating them tonight.

Happy eating!

  1. Can you come up here & do the same? Once I’m back on solid food that is (little bit of something going around unfortunately).

    • I’d LOVE to come cook for you and Lola – We could all slobber together! LOL!….so sorry to hear you have the Kooties..keep it up there, ok?…we don’t need it here. Everyone doing ok since the craziness of the race? Hope all the friends and family are safe and well.

      • Whew, I thought I was doing better this morning but was back in bed by noon. Can’t even think about food yet so just posted on my old T-ball coaching days (and now for another nap).
Promise I won’t send the Kooties south. Some things don’t need to be shared.

  2. That’s so nice for you too do Susan and thanks for sharing!

  3. That curry looks totally pucker!
