How easy is it to cook for and serve 39 people dinner at our house? Well, we can tell you for sure, since we did just that a few week-ends ago.
Call me crazy, but it was a ton of fun!
Hubby and I hosted an event for North Fulton Community Charities at our house. As part of the annual “Have A Heart” fund-raising program, we invited our friends over for Salad, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Veggie Lasagna, Garlic Bread, and Dessert – all for a $10 per person donation to NFCC.
In addition to the lots of food, artists had their wares on display for purchase, with a percentage of sales donated to NFCC. And boy, did these party goers know how to shop!
Our friend, neighbor, and fellow NFCC volunteer, Bobbie, brought her photographs, notecards, and framed pieces to display. Hubby also had his photography for sale, and Sara (who just happens to make the coolest earrings from guitar picks) displayed her homemade, handmade jewelry. Sara wore a pair of her earrings – aren’t they adorable?
Let the shopping begin!
Vonda shared some sobering statistics about the people in our community that utilize the services offered by NFCC.
Much food, fun, and friendship made the evening a pure pleasure for us, and with the amount of wine laughter that was heard coming from the various groups as the party progressed, it seemed that the night was quite a success.
Thanks to everyone who attended, and made a contribution to NFCC’s fundraising efforts. Your generosity is much appreciated by those who need a hand up – not a hand out – in our local community!
We used to serve a whole roasted hog and barbeque to the gathering, but i think serving lasagna and other casserolls is great option too

It’s always a pleasure to serve those that serve others! You guys ROCK for taking care of the clients each and every day. We are just happy to have so many friends like you that enjoy getting together for a good cause – and good wine – and good times! I’ll prepare my acceptance speech-LOL!!! Let’s do it again soon – maybe on a smaller scale.

We did an awful lot of prep work by making the lasagna in advance, so that helped a lot! It was well worth the efforts!
