Artists Hit The Streets

One of the most fascinating things you see in Florence, Italy is the art students creating beautiful chalk drawings on the streets. Literally, ON the street. As in, they bring their chalk, a picture of whatever they will draw that day, and sit / squat / lie down on the street – all while using their unique talents to create a chalk drawing to raise money for tuition (or beer, wine and food!).

We witnessed this art student who set up early in the day with her partner. This is what it looked like late in the afternoon. I don’t know how in the world they do this and then are still be able to stand up and walk at the end of the day. Kudos to the street artists!
