“Tempting Tuscany” Thursday

Still travelling (for work) and wishing I was in Italy, in time for the wine harvest, and all of the great fall foods, the gathering of chestnuts, and of course, olive oil.

Soon, we’ll be visiting Italy in November, and I so look forward to that “slower” season, with way less tourists and way less crowds. Surely, the local people must need the winter to recharge their patience after such a hot, crowded Summer. To live in such beauty has to be a gift – yet that gift is then shared by so many millions, from so far away.

So here’s to the beautiful town of Lucca, Italy…pictures to help you relax and recharge – and dream of “la dolce vita” –  Ciao!

Here is a view of the rooftops from a walk on top of the wall in Lucca – it constantly changes with the seasons.

Our favorite – Palazzo Pfanner’s  gardens. Just like our backyard…..not!

And a friendly game of chess in the middle of the street.

    • We just can’t wait…the weather here in Atlanta has been beautiful, so I am sure it must be the same (only with better food!) in Lucca. Hope your visit has been wonderful, and we’ll definitely have to connect next May when we are back at the same time as you. Have a nice glass of wine for me, OK?!! LOL!

I love traveling when it is not so crowded and know that the residents in Italy are happy when they have their villages back to themselves.
