BOGA TAQUERIA has opened in Alpharetta, GA about 3 miles from our house. Needless to say, we have totally enjoyed many meals there with our friends.
The owner, Medardo Briceno, is excited about his new venture, and shared his story with Wade so we could share it with all of you.
Boga was inspired by Medardo’s passion for creating unique interpretations of foods that seem familiar to the diner. For instance, by taking Mexican, Latin, and South American food and blending the flavors in a new way, your taste buds are surprised with the unexpected twist in the outcome.
Having been involved in the restaurant business since his first jobs in prep, as a dishwasher, and then as a server, Medardo (who is from Venezuela) turned his attention to food sales by going to work for a food distributor in Atlanta.
But his love for the business moved him to open his own restaurant – Boga Taqueria. His goal is to make his customers happy (and trust me, that goal is fulfilled!).
When asked if he has any plans for expansion in the future, Medardo shared that he would really like to open 3 more locations – Buckhead, Midtown, and Dunwoody.
But for now, he is happy to have what seems to be the right location, at the right size, with the right food combinations.
Here’s a peek at some of the great dishes that Boga offers, with something for everyone. Open for lunch and dinner, it’s a great spot for a unique dining experience. Enjoy!
Be sure to save room for dessert….it was amazingly rich! Mangia! Mangia!
